I’m a sportswriter turned preacher’s wife.
After covering everything from Major League Baseball to high school football for five years, I gave up the sports reporter dream, and stumbled into a project management job at a marketing agency that I really enjoy. I also stumbled into my husband, who I (happily) married in October 2010. He’s a preacher in the Los Angeles area.
I don’t miss the reporting, or the awkward interviews with naked men in locker rooms. But I do miss the writing. In my free time, I like to write about food and anything else that comes up along the way.
The name of this blog derives from the infamous phrase about former Major League Baseball outfielder Manny Ramirez. When he did anything remarkable, stupid, selfish or otherwise unbelievable, people often explained it by saying, “that’s Manny being Manny.” My life isn’t nearly as remarkable (or as stupid, I hope).
I try to keep life as simple and as delicious as possible.
